The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). One of the program’s two primary operating locations is Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, operate, maintain, repair and modify equipment.

Additional duties include:

  • Perform a variety of electrical and mechanical maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and processing facility subsystems (fueling sets, mega-doors, large cranes, propellant systems, and electrical subsystems).
  • Work around fuels & with flight hardware equipment
  • Perform scheduled periodic maintenance
  • Assists systems engineers with evolving needs

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1 year of relevant maintenance experience with electrical and mechanical systems
  • Basic understanding of diagrams for gases/electrical and facilities
  • Firm grasp of maintenance practices
  • Ability to perform under strict guidelines and be safety oriented
  • Familiarity with CIP-OM-06 Crane Operations; CIP-OM-03 EPF Specialty Doors; CIP-OM-04 EPF Air Pallets; PLN-036 Contamination Control Plan
  • Experience with measuring tools ie: fluke meters etc.
  • Must be a United States citizen and able to obtain, and maintain, a TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance (active clearance preferred)


Desired Skills:

  • Safety-first minded, maintenance oriented with experience using multitude of tools
  • Experience with fueling operations in satellite processing facilities
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and perform to exacting standards
  • Welding or fabrication experience a plus
