We believe that people are hungry for peace, and that there is no surer way to find it than by learning to sit in silence with Christ: “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Mt 11:28).

We launched the app in December of 2018 and have been blown away with the incredible growth & traction. Hallow has been downloaded over 15 million times with over 250,000 5-star reviews. Tldr: We’re looking for a trilingual English/French/German candidate who is a native speaker of German or French to lead our European marketing operations for our German-speaking, French-speaking, and Italian-speaking communities.

What You’ll Do

    • Work directly with the Marketing Team: As the Europe Marketing Lead, you’ll be working directly with and reporting to our Head of International. You’ll also work cross-functionally with our Head of Marketing and across our international pods to ensure alignment in paid media, social media, LCM, Influencer, Brand, and International growth.
    • Scale Paid Social: Your primary and most important goal is to optimize and continue to scale our current Paid Social (Facebook and TikTok). You’ll be an expert strategist and executioner with creative, audiences, and deep knowledge of these platforms.
    • Expand Paid Search: You’ll lead and manage Google and Apple Search to optimize our current framework and find new methods and tests to drive better efficiency and more scale.
    • Manage Creative Pipeline: You’ll direct our influencer programs across Europe as we continually upgrade and round out our library of influencer-created content and user-generated content (UGC) to drive efficiency across our acquisition channels.
    • Channel Diversification: Outside the above, you’ll design and execute testing strategies across new channels, avenues, and outside-the-box ideas to grow Hallow and our user acquisition efforts.
    • Social Media and Lifecycle Marketing: You’ll also direct our day-to-day presence across our European social media accounts, communicating with our user base, and driving growth through engaging social content. Finally, you’ll design and direct the execution of our marketing strategy across lifecycle marketing (LCM) channels (Email, Push, and SMS) for our European markets.

Requirements

    • Passion: First & foremost, we’re looking for someone excited about our mission. It makes it a lot more fun 🙂
    • Bilingual (German & English): You are a native speaker of German and a fluent speaker of English.
    • Experience: 3-5 years of experience building and running paid media campaigns, and at least 1 year of experience managing high-performing marketing professionals. 3+ years of experience on Facebook and management of $500k+ per month preferred. Previous mobile app campaign experience is a massive plus.
    • Communication: You’re an expert communicator and conversationalist. Being able to communicate, negotiate, and build relationships is a must in German, French, and English. Experience with influencer marketing, partnerships, or relationships with the Catholic Church in the region is a huge bonus.
    • Grit & detail-oriented: We really care about what we’re doing & try to build as fast as we can. Since we’re guiding meditation and competing with some large players in the market (Calm, Headspace), we have to stand out. Everything we do, say, send, or spend money on should be top-notch quality and set Hallow apart as the best.

    • Flexibility: Hallow HQ is in Chicago but our preference is that this role is based in the EU. We want our staff to be close to the people we are reaching! However, this role will also require some late afternoon/early

Benefits

€70,000 – €85,000 a year
This position is a full-time role with benefits. The actual amounts could be anywhere within the stated range, dependent on experience. In addition, compensation includes equity. The above range only includes cash compensation. Each full-time employee also receives significant equity compensation, which has the potential to be the biggest economic benefit of joining Hallow, alongside a top-tier benefits package.
The above range for cash compensation will be split between a base salary and target annual bonus. These ranges are initial estimates for a US-based candidate. They may vary depending on market or location and may be adjusted depending on the person we end up hiring for this role, their experience, and market dynamics.
