About the role

As the Regional Director, Europe, you will not only be the face of Cambridge in Europe, but also its heart and soul, ensuring that our reputation for educational excellence is unequivocal.

Instrumental in shaping our global strategy, you’ll be informed by your deep understanding of our customers, their needs, and the educational landscape. 

Spearheading our strategic vision across Europe, igniting growth and social impact that will resonate with our noble pursuit of knowledge and learning. Your leadership will be the cornerstone in cultivating our regional business, harmonising the goals of Cambridge International Education business and relationships in Europe, working collaboratively within a matrix structure to achieve financial returns and social impact in education.

Leading cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams delivering truly meaningful work across the continent, your role will be multifaceted, requiring you to:

  • Architect and execute business strategies that not only aligns with our global aspirations but also resonates with local nuances, crafting competitive advantage and prioritising revenue and profitability growth.
  • Cultivate a regional team that embodies our diverse skills and talents, fostering an environment where everyone is empowered to excel and innovate.
  • Uphold and enhance the Cambridge reputation for educational distinction within the region.
  • Develop powerful, collaborative relationships, both internally and externally, to bolster our presence and impact within the educational sector.
  • Infuse our business approach with a commercial mindset, balancing our educational mission with robust financial acumen to sustain our regional presence.

You will report directly to the Director International Network and oversee a dedicated and talented team committed to the support and sales of Cambridge International Education products and services.  Your role involves managing key relationships across Europe, from local and national government bodies to UK representatives and educational and commercial organisations.

About You:

We are looking for a leader who is:

  • A strategic thinker with a commercial mindset, and a proven track record in delivering strong revenue improvement, through effective leadership.
  • Skilled in transforming strategies into tangible growth, leading the development of data-driven integrated regional channel strategies.
  • Ideally deeply knowledgeable of the education sector and market dynamics, however if you tick all the other requirements, we would still welcome an application.
  • An inspiring figure, able to convey a compelling vision balancing short term and longer-term goals.
  • Customer centric, with a deep understanding of customer expectations and behaviour, with evidence of success with different customer segments.
  • Committed to fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture.

We review applications on an ongoing basis, with a closing date for all applications being 15th April and 1st stage interviews are scheduled to take place w/c 22nd April online, and 2nd stage interviews to take place in person w/c 6th or 13th May in person in Cambridge.  Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
