This position is an exceptional opportunity to join Varian and the Business Development EMEA team in achieving new victories against cancer.

 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Manager to lead the sales and market expansion of our SGRT portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and establishing strong customer relationships. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, sales expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the commercial success of IDENTIFY.

The successful candidate may also be involved in supporting Varian EMEA’s Strategic Accounts Management program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for IDENTIFY, aligning with the Varian’s overall business objectives.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and optimizing sales channels.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders. Provide exceptional customer service and address client needs effectively.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding performance. Provide ongoing training and support to enhance their skills.
  • Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities, product launches, and sales campaigns that drive product awareness and demand.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics. Prepare regular reports and forecasts for the management team, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all sales activities comply with relevant medical device regulations and standards.
  • Strategic Accounts Management: Support the Strategic Accounts Management program within Varian EMEA. Possible scope could include taking client management responsibility and exposure to the programmatic needs of the function.

 

Required and preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical, clinical or business degree (management, engineering, clinical, etc).
  • Customer facing experience required, especially in Sales or Marketing roles.
  • Experience in medical equipment, medical devices or Radiation Oncology preferred.
  • SGRT Product knowledge and ability to conduct demonstrations preferred.
  • Prior experience in managing complex commercial projects or sales teams preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise on detailed commercial business processes.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to motivate and influence internal (sales) and external clients.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good knowledge of financial principles.
  • Fluency in English, other European languages desired.
  • Expert user of CRM tools and marketing solutions.
  • Expert user of MS Office tools, in particular MS Excel.
