Your New Role

The Benelux Senior Trade Marketer & Digital Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a mix of retailers on the Benelux market. His/Her Digital Key Account role is to manage the sales relationship with the digital retailers he/she is responsible for, to maximize revenue and OI, and reach budget targets. The trade Marketing part of the job implies the management of different typologies of clients on the Benelux retail market (DVD, Blurays, Video Games): mass market, specialist retailers and digital platforms. The main purpose of the trade marketing position is to contribute with the retail Key Account Manager to the turnover of the accounts by organising the promotional calendar, improving the visibility of our products and promotions, and bringing innovative ideas to help manage the sales more strategically.

Your Role Accountabilities

Develop business relationships, revenue, and OI with digital clients to reach budget:

– Write & lead Business Reviews, detect & size new business opportunities and achieve sales target.

– Present new releases launch on EST and VOD to retailers, manage the merchandising negotiation with the Digital trade Marketer, with a 360° approach on franchises.

– Participate in internal strategic meetings to act on news releases launch strategies (dates, pricing, windowing…) and back catalog plans.

Support on deal making of digital accounts for existing customers and new leads. Participate in negotiation (digital distribution license agreement) & deal renewals, maximise accounts profitability & close new digital agreements, and execute the effective launch of new offers. Build sales forecast, budget, and monitor financial results of the digital accounts managed. Define & coordinate promotional & trade marketing strategy for the retail accounts:

– Work closely with the Key Account Manager on the definition of the trade marketing strategy
– Suggest, establish, and implement specific trade marketing actions/promotions for the clients. Ensure the promotions are well configured in the sales CRM tool.

– Negotiate with the retailers to acquire and improve visibility in retailers and digital stores (POS material in stores, banners on websites…) via the retailer’s promotional tools (catalogues, owned magazines, social media…)

– Work closely and coordinate with Marketing, Stock control, Supply chain and Purchasing departments in order to guarantee the best implementation of trade marketing promotions.

– Work with graphical agencies on the different assets necessary to ensure the promotion of our products

– Sales tracking and reporting to ensure a continuous replenishment of the most sold products and propose recommendation regarding the future promotions. Conduct promotions’ postmortems in order to measure profitability and recommend strategies accordingly.

Skills and Experience

– At least three years’ experience in a similar sales function. Platform experience is a plus.

– Dynamic, drive for results and analytical. Can deal with ambiguity and adapt to change.

– Be comfortable working towards clearly defined sales targets.

– Understanding of the media, entertainment industry and digital evolutions.

– Good negotiator, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

– Understanding customers’ needs. Ability to drive change & adapt to different situations.

– Marketing & financial/management control skills to collaborate efficiently with internal teams & dedicated customers contact.

– Fluent in English. Dutch is a plus.
