Job Title Director Credit Risk Job Purpose What does a great Director Credit Risk do? Risk Monitoring has direct responsibility to manage and prevent losses for the firm utilizing front line technology and controls to identify and investigate credit and fraud risk. The Director Credit Risk will support the Risk Monitoring organization with direct and indirect responsibility of 8 managers and 40+ analysts performing risk investigations and partner/client communication for various partners. Crucial role to support and oversee daily operational processes and technology initiatives As a Director Credit Risk, you can look forward to:
  • Manage a staff of Portfolio Managers along with the Analysts that report to them.
  • Review all high-risk accounts for accuracy, decision-making, risk assessment.
  • Building and implementing departmental Policies & Procedures.
  • Oversee all Portfolios’ and Risk associated with them.
  • Evaluate departmental results and implement changes to Risk control methods.
  • Responsible for all changes/enhancements made to the department’s tool for risk monitoring.
  • Develop Managers/Analysts by implementing new training objectives.
  • Responsible for evaluating and implementing new projects that will affect the department.

Basic qualifications for consideration:

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree. (Business, Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, etc.)
  • Able to handle heavy workload assignment and multiple priorities. Must be able to meet tight deadlines and productivity standards. Good work ethic.
  • Knowledge of MasterCard and Visa Association rules and regulations a plus.
  • Time management skills and to complete multiple tasks within established time requirements. This not only includes daily functions, but also, additional projects distributed by management.
  • Ability to work with a variety of Window based and Mainframe applications simultaneously with working knowledge of Microsoft, Word, Excel and Access.
  • Project Management Skills or experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of MasterCard and Visa Association rules and regulations a plus.
  • MBA degree a plus
