Job Description

Based in EMEA (preferable in Nordics, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain) and reporting to the Director Marketing Ultrasound EMEA, this key role will support to develop, coordinate and manage execution of the Point of Care Ultrasound Marketing strategy across the entire region EMEA. This person will maintain a deep understanding of the market opportunities, partners and players and will drive key awareness & promotion activities.  This is a key role, which will help accelerate market development and funnel creation across the different customer segments in Point of Care Ultrasound, like emergency medicine, critical care, muscoloskeletal, anesthesia or aesthetics.

 

The Marketing Manager – Point of Care Ultrasound EMEA will interact frequently with a variety of sales, marketing communications roles and functions inside and outside Ultrasound (at Country, Region and EMEA level), and will act both as a resource and as a coordinator for multiple sales and marketing initiatives/activities, in the digital and non-digital space.

To successfully drive these critical sales and marketing initiatives, traveling across EMEA will be required.

 


Essential Responsibilities:


Define and execute a Marketing plan for Point of Care Ultrasound in EMEA, ensuring alignment to the priorities (defined by both the Director Marketing Ultrasound EMEA and the General Manager Point of Care Ultrasound EMEA), support to develop, define KPIs, coordinate and manage execution of the strategy across the entire region EMEA.

  • Together with the EMEA POCUS team you drive New Product Introductions planning and alignment (value proposition, positioning, service offering…) with Global Point of Care Ultrasound organization and define EMEA launch strategy and regional launch activities in the countries
  • You drive key awareness & brand building campaigns for the brand Venue Ultrasound Systems which is measured by Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs). You use performance Marketing (analytics) for managing all activities
  • You identify and monitor industry trends, market insights and customer needs and feed them to the make centers for portfolio management, roadmap development and marketing content (collaterals) / messaging / claims)
  • You are a key driver for cross-modality and EMEA- or European level events as well as for kick-offs and trainings for our direct and indirect sales force
  • You deliver content and manage the creation of collaterals (like clinical images, advertisement, product tutorials, sales job aids, whitepapers, statements and videos from Key Opinion Leader), which can be used in various channels (Omnichannel)
  • You are responsible for the content strategy, the respective digital customer journey and promotion of the POCUShub.net community and the EMEA Ultrasound website (gehealthcare.co.uk/products/ultrasound/point-of-care-ultrasound)
  • Key Opinion Leader/Digital Opinion Leader Management: Work with professional societies and advocacy groups to identify and select Key Opinion Leaders for thought leadership and awareness building; Support development of regional Key Opinion Leaders in collaboration with Ultrasound Marketing organization in the region
  • You will ensure the distribution network is supported with the right sales tools and training

 


Your profile:
  • You bring a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Medical Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or alike and a proven experience in the Healthcare industry
  • You have a strong marketing expertise launching a product or service, insights gathering and demand generation
  • A sound and solid knowledge on digital Marketing: traffic generation, content strategies and conversion are part of your skills portfolio
  • Innovative and creative thinking – that is you!
  • You also bring strong execution capabilities and a pragmatic hands-on attitude
  • You communicate fluently in writing and speaking in English
  • You bring a strong versatility, an excellent time management with the ability to meet multiple deadlines and priorities
  • You are willing and flexible to travel in the region up to 50% of your time

 

Preferred (but not mandatory) skills/experiences which also can be developed “on-the-job” are:

  • Experience in medical device industry
  • Experience in emergency medicine, critical care, muscoloskeletal, anesthesia or aesthetics clinical field
  • Good understanding in tools: Marketing Automation: Marketo, CRM: Salesforce.com
