Team Internet is looking for Product Owner who will play a critical role in the management of front end changes across a network of customer facing websites at Team Internet. As the evangelist for the customer and/or business stakeholders, the Product Owner defines and prioritises web development features, functionality, and values for engineering teams to deliver on time and with quality.
Key outcomes of the role
- Work closely with Product Managers, Web Development Engineering Manager, Marketing and Engineers to gather well-defined requirements in line with business objectives and manage expectations as well as gain sign off on deliverables
- Break down and prioritise deliverables for the Engineering team(s) through the creation of JIRA epics, stories and tasks
- Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
- Work closely with Engineering teams on a day-to-day basis, participate in meetings and manage the Kanban board
- Be the technical subject-matter-expert on the product for all teams internally
- Contribute to the big-picture at a strategic level as well as focus on the details when it comes to implementation and execution
- Be an advocate for delivering MVP and work in agility, creating transparency in the deliverables
- Develop roadmaps and build alignment across teams. Work on longer term roadmap
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders keeping them appraised of new developments and highlight milestones
- Triage bugs with engineering teams, prioritise fixes and maintenance
- Contribute to SMART OKRs with clear delivery milestones, timelines and success metrics
About you
- Experience in delivering changes on consumer facing websites is a must.
- Experience in working with KANBAN methodology
- Understanding of web development standards, SEO, CMS, web analytics is desirable
- Understanding of UX and UI standards is desirable
- Broad understanding of technology and how it impacts the business and customers
- Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders and managing competing expectations, running projects with clear deadlines for multiple teams
- Experience of the domain/hosting industry, relevant technologies and the domain name lifecycles is desirable
- Have already built some experience as a Product Owner or similar roles
- Showcase excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English and overall project management skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional, global teams to deliver on a common goal
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
