Contracts Manager

The Contracts Operations Team in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) requires a self-motivated individual to join the Team as a Contracts Manager. A SailPoint Contracts Manager is responsible for all customer and partner-facing contract negotiations, and the Contracts Manager will use techniques such as drafting and negotiation to achieve execution of T&Cs in accordance with approved SailPoint policies. This role will be focused on the commercial activity within the Southern Europe region – the ability to speak French fluently will be a requirement for this role, although the role may be located outside of France (subject to SailPoint approval). This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to assist in the growth and development of a critical company function EMEA region. The Contracts Operations Team is an Operations function and not a part of SailPoint Legal – the Team works very closely with SailPoint Legal, and lawyers are welcome to apply, but a certificate to practice is not required for this role.

 

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Responding to contract/legal queries In the EMEA region
  • Drafting, negotiating and concluding (as examples):
    • Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements
    • Software License agreements
    • Data Privacy Agreements (DPA)
    • Schedules/Quotations to Customers
    • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
    • Partner/Reseller terms
    • Statements of Work (professional services)
    • Redline review
  • Interacting and collaborating with subject matter experts locally (such as local legal counsel) and also In the US (such as technical specialists located at HQ)
  • Support the EMEA Team Analyst to close signed contracts, including:
    • Issuing appropriate paperwork to demonstrate effective delivery
    • Document execution in accordance with SailPoint processes
    • Communication with all relevant internal departments

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and French
  • 5+ years of post-graduate (or other) experience working in a similar role in a Software or Technology company (particularly SaaS)
  • Proven knowledge of the GDPR (and applicable local data privacy laws)
  • Working knowledge of:
    • SaaS Cloud solution agreements
    • Software licensing
    • Consultancy/professional service agreements
    • Partner agreements
    • NDAs/Confidentiality agreements
    • Data Privacy
  • Preferred but not required: European contract law(s) qualification or certification (or equivalent years’ experience)
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated teaming ability to work well with, influence, and inform diverse groups, including all levels of seniority, peers, and customers.
  • Ability to facilitate co-ordination of cross-functional teams and provide expert advice for complex matters.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Salesforce or other Contract Lifecycle/Repository Management system.
  • Able to effectively deal with high-volume, rapid turnaround times, multiple assignments, concurrent deadlines and changing priorities in a high-pressure sales environment and to achieve financially driven deadlines, such as quarter end.
  • Occasional travel may be required from time to time.
