Albuquerque, New Mexico, The Assistant Director of Marketing will oversee various aspects of the UNM Athletic Marketing Department. Responsibilities will include developing and executing creative, innovative marketing plans for select sports, with the goal of maximizing revenue and attendance, while enhancing fan experience to create a home field/court advantage. This position will have an active role in assisting the supervision and development of student workers. Acts as a liaison with internal and external clients, building rapport with stakeholders. Targeted sports and initiatives include:

Volleyball – Responsible for the creation and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy that focuses on increasing attendance and maximizing ticket sale revenue, while also creating a home field advantage with fan experience. Additional efforts to include; advertising, scripting, in-game elements, atmosphere and marketing items related to ticketing/production/game day activities, and supervision/development of student workers.

Baseball – Responsible for the creation and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy that focuses on increasing attendance and maximizing ticket sale revenue, while also creating a home field advantage with fan experience. Additional efforts to include; advertising, scripting, in-game elements, atmosphere and marketing items related to ticketing/production/game day activities, and supervision/development of student workers.

Football Howl Zone– Collaborates with UNM Sports Properties in the development and oversight of the Howl Zone; a pregame experience for New Mexico fans. Assists with other various gameday activities and marketing initiatives, including on-field elements.

Lil’ Lobos Kids Club – Oversees the development and growth of the Lil’ Lobos Kids Club, including creative and unique initiatives for increased membership, as well as exclusive experiences for members. Bachelor’s degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
