Washington, DC, Are you a creative, curious, and collaborative marketing & communications leader with a talent for engaging audiences and inspiring them to action? Do you excel at engaging, coaching and developing employees? Can you rally various stakeholders across the organization, build consensus around marketing campaigns, and use marketing tactics to exceed sales targets and penetrate new markets? Do you have a passion for strong communication and experience developing speeches and presentations, and leading content development and public relations as part of an inbound marketing strategy? You will play a pivotal role on an energetic, welcoming team.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   
You’ll report to our Senior Vice President, work closely with other departments, and partner with key vendors (including a marketing agency, web developer, and video production company).   Your priorities will be to continue to accelerate our revenue growth , oversee our content and publications to position BOMA as the industry thought leader and strategic partner for commercial real estate professionals , gain earned media and acquire new customers . You’ll also be responsible for developing effective marketing, PR and communications strategies to drive growth in membership and supporting programs, in-person and online events, education, and publications and research offerings for the organization.    We are a federation of U.S. local associations and global affiliates. You’ll work closely with, and provide support to, our local association leaders, including creating templates for effective marketing campaigns.   This position is for you if you have a track record of:  

Using marketing and communication to build inbound funnels and achieve sales targets and penetrate new markets.
Increasing sales of products and services and ensuring revenue targets are achieved and exceeded.
Creating clear, targeted go-to-market strategies.
Crafting speeches and accompanying presentations for internal leaders and volunteer Officers.
Engaging members and customers in the customer journey.
Collaborating effectively with and gaining the buy in of internal program directors and managers and external volunteers.
Creating clear strategies for all major activities of communications, public relations and marketing.
Tracking metrics and creating dashboards that demonstrate results.
Ensuring quality and excellence in all communications and marketing materials.
Delivering the right results through effective selection, coaching and development of staff and subsequently achieving consistently high-performance levels.
Holding employees accountable for living organization values and achieving goals and objectives.  

QUALIFICATIONS  
You’re an innovative marketing & communications leader with your ear to the ground for emerging trends. You’re a collaborative and inclusive team player and leader and creative problem solver. You have strong analytical skills and comprehensive content development, public relations, speech writing, and direct marketing skills .   
Minimum qualifications include:  

5+ years of progressive marketing and communications experience supporting consistent sales and business growth (preferably in trade associations with educational components)
3+ years management experience coaching and developing marketing and communications employees
3+ years effective public relations experience including press releases, editorial coverage, media relations, and crafting speeches and presentations
A track record of leading and engaging teams, developing strong relationships and building buy-in with a wide variety of stakeholders and personalities
Comprehensive understanding of content development and experience working with freelancers and volunteer authors.
Experience expanding business market share 
Deep understanding of all facets of direct marketing, digital marketing, and customer journey best practices
A passion for providing superior member and customer experiences and engaging members and customers
Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite 
CAE certification is preferred
Experience acting as a spokesperson is preferred  

We offer a hybrid schedule that balances flexibility with support. We collaborate in our office, located in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C., 3 days per week.
